Dr. Loretta Nolan was sponsored into membership by Ursula Maethner in 1976. She served on many committees including Legislation, Literacy and Professional Affairs. Loretta began her career as a math teacher. She became a principal at the elementary level and later at the high school level. Loretta was selected to serve on a team of five that had only six weeks to open up a new school that only had furniture. Her team selected their educational materials. Needless to say, the school was fully equipped and the teachers were prepared on the first day of classes! Dr. Nolan also served as President of the Chicago Principal’s Association. |
