Brenda Harris was invited into membership by Mary Jane Riopelle and initiated in 2009. She has served the chapter on several committees, including Membership, Hospitality, Professional Affairs, Program member and Co-Chair, Music, and Educational Excellence. As 2nd Vice-President, Brenda secured many venues for our meetings, and made the arrangements for all meals. In 2015, she attended the Lambda State Technology Seminar with several chapter members.
Brenda is a speech pathologist and has served students from Pre-K through High School. She enjoyed her work helping children with behavior disorders improve their communication skills. Brenda encouraged the use of student newspapers to help those with speech and language disorders to express themselves. In semi-retirement, Brenda now has a full spectrum of clients ranging from infants to adults, on a consultative basis.
